Using the skills Mary Jo developed from her education in merchandising and business, she launched her successful home-based business — Rags to Stitches in 1992, offering custom-designed soft window treatments.
Rags to Stitches expanded into sales of hard window treatments, and offered installation as an additional service. Mary Jo became a Priority Dealer with Hunter Douglas, the leader in hard window treatments. She understands the key to exceptional window treatment design is working closely with the customer, the fabricator, and the installation team. Mary Jo received “Installer Certification” as well as Industry Certification of Plantation Shutters through Hunter Douglas.
As Owner and Business Administrator of Material Things, Mary Jo is committed to exceptional quality and service which is reflected in her attention to detail.
